Commenting on the announcement that Bangor will be entering lockdown tomorrow (Saturday, October 10), the Shadow Minister for Health, Andrew RT Davies, said:
“Although this is a deeply regrettable decision I fully understand why it has been made, but it is crucial that this lockdown remains for as short a period as is possible.
“Although it has taken long enough, I am very pleased that the Welsh Labour-led Government has heeded our calls in now implementing a hyper-localised lockdown, where currently 8 wards in Bangor are effected rather than the whole vicinity.
“Moving forward, I again urge the Labour Health Minister to take this opportunity to publish detailed COVID-19 lockdown data on a ward-by-ward basis across Wales to decide if further localised lockdowns are required.
“Time is now of the essence and the Health Minister must answer our calls.”
