Andrew RT Davies MS, Leader of the Welsh Conservatives, said:

“Now that Labour is in charge, the Welsh Government refuses to stand up for Wales.

“When the Conservatives were in office at the other end of the M4, the Labour Welsh Government would regularly challenge them on a range of issues.

“But on the unforgivable decision to scrap winter fuel payments, which will disproportionately impact Wales, the First Minister has abdicated her responsibility.

“The Welsh Conservatives will fight to see this decision reversed so pensioners can be kept warm this winter.”
