Commenting following his contribution to the Senedd debate on the establishment of a Wales-specific independent Covid inquiry, wherein the Labour Welsh Government are set to block those calls yet again, Russell George MS, Welsh Conservative Shadow Health Minister said:
“The Labour Welsh Government are continuing to dodge scrutiny by blocking a Wales specific Covid inquiry.
“The First Minister chose to diverge from the UK Government’s decisions during the pandemic and so should accept scrutiny.
“It remains the view of the Welsh Conservatives that the answers that bereaved families deserve would be best served by a Welsh independent judge-led public inquiry.”
