Every game of Wales' 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign will be televised live on BBC, marking the return of the men's national team to free-to-air English-language TV for the first time since 2004.
Commenting, Welsh Conservative Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Culture, Tourism & Sport, Gareth Davies MS, said:
“This is great news for Welsh football and a testament to the growing success of our national team.
“As with the Six Nations, where The Welsh Conservatives have previously led the way in calling for the Six Nations to remain free-to-air, Welsh sport should be accessible for all who wish to view it.
“This deal will now ensure that every Welsh football fan can watch the team as they fight for a place in their second consecutive World Cup.”
