Paul Davies AM, the Leader of the Welsh Assembly Conservative Group, has thrown his backing behind a grassroots campaign to show support for our hardworking NHS Wales staff and blue-light emergency services.
Thought to have originated in the Vale of Glamorgan, the campaign has seen people tying blue ribbons to streetlights, railings, and park benches to give a visual “thank you” to nurses, doctors, paramedics, cleaners, and all staff working to battle Covid-19 (Coronavirus).
Mr Davies said:
“At this extraordinary time, it’s only right that we show our appreciation and immense gratitude to those who are doing extraordinary work to keep us safe and to save lives.
“Wherever you live in Wales, tie a blue ribbon outside your house, or on your gate, or draw and colour in a blue rainbow picture to put in a front window, anywhere where our incredible NHS Wales staff can see our support for them, and let’s turn Wales blue for the National Hero Service.”
