Marking six years since the United Kingdom voted in a referendum to leave to the European Union and its institutions, Welsh Conservative leader Andrew RT Davies MS said:
"Six years ago, Wales, and the rest of the UK as a whole, decided to take back control of our own destiny.
“Thanks to the voters who backed the Conservative Party to get Brexit done back in 2019, we delivered on that 2016 referendum result, and restored faith in democracy.
“Since then, we've led by example with support for Ukraine and had a world beating vaccine procurement scheme, moving more nimbly than other European nations.
“We're showing the world how dynamic and tenacious global Britain can be. Britain is back."
