The Welsh Conservatives have congratulated Team Wales’ success at the 2022 Commonwealth Games following the record haul of 28 medals – eight gold, six silver and 14 bronze. Commenting, the Leader of the Welsh Conservatives, Andrew RT Davies MS said:
“Team Wales have a lot to be proud of at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
“The athletes, coaches, physios and the entire team have shown off the sporting achievements that Wales has to offer.
“It is now vital that Labour ministers improve infrastructure in Wales so we can host our own sporting events and show off Wales to the world. We have all seen what a boost these games have given Birmingham and the West Midlands, and the same could happen for Wales.”
