Responding to a BBC report on Welsh industry's 23 million tonne carbon problem, Welsh Conservative Shadow Minister for Climate Change, Janet Finch Saunders MS said:
“This carbon figure is very concerning and the struggle against climate change will only be won if we tackle this challenge head-on.
“The task to make Wales cleaner, greener and more eco-friendly can only be realised if the Labour government works hand in hand with private business to supercharge the push to renewables whilst protecting jobs.
“This is why I’m urging the Labour government to put ideology aside and maximise the potential for renewable energy development by establishing a package of support for private investment in schemes.”
