Commenting on the news that the UK economy surpassed pre-Covid levels for the first time in November, Welsh Conservative Shadow Minister for the Economy, Paul Davies MS, said:
“These are some very welcome economic figures, which suggests our economy is beginning to recover from what has been a very challenging two years.
“Although there are still hurdles to overcome, and we don’t yet know what impact omicron has had on our economy’s growth, it is promising to see GDP expand beyond expectations.
“The Conservative UK Government is continuing to support people and businesses, including through grants, loans and tax reliefs, and with restrictions easing in Wales over the coming weeks, I hope to see our economy bounce back even more as we learn to live with the virus and go about our day-to-day lives.”
