Commenting on the news that cruel waits for biopsy results have left patients fearing a possible death sentence, Welsh Conservative Shadow Health Minister, Russell George MS said:
"NHS statistics released this week showed that Welsh cancer waits were the second worst on record ever.
"It is completely inexcusable that in their lifetime, 1-in-2 people will be diagnosed with cancer, yet in Wales, just 53.4% of patients are being seen within the 62-day maximum wait target.
"Labour continue to be the only government in the UK to have ever cut an NHS budget, not once, not twice, but soon to be three times. It's time for Labour to scrap plans to expand the Senedd, U-turn on the 20mph blanket speed limit rollout and prioritise health spending."
