Samuel Kurtz

Commenting on the news that a senior vet claims the ban on XL bullies could lead to more dog attacks, Welsh Conservative Shadow Rural Affairs Minister, Samuel Kurtz MS said:

“The rise in heartbreaking and horrific attacks on members of the public as a result of this dangerous dog breed has been a concerning issue for some time.

“Banning this dangerous breed is encouraging news and the UK Government have taken decisive action to ensure more breeds are not used irresponsibly by creating the Responsible Dog Ownership taskforce with the police, local authority representatives and animal welfare stakeholders.

“The Welsh Conservatives share the concern in the increasing number of dog attacks in the UK and are hopeful that with the UK Government’s decisive action, we will see an end to these vicious attacks.”
