Shadow Minister: Businesses need clarity over Economic Resilience Fund

Reacting to the statement on the third phase of the Economic Resilience Fund, Shadow Minister for Economy, Business, and Infrastructure – Russell George MS – said:

“I welcome today’s announcement of the additional funding to support businesses in Wales, as we Welsh Conservatives have been calling on the Welsh Labour-led Government to allocate all of the business related funding provided by Westminster, sooner, rather than later. 

“We welcome, too, the news that £60 million will be specifically for areas where lockdowns have been re-imposed, because the business community – especially the SME sector – needs clarity in how to access the funds, and it’s crucial that funds get to affected businesses as soon as possible.”
