Janet Finch-Saunders

Responding to the news that thousands of people have been told to boil their tap water for another week, Janet Finch-Saunders MS, Welsh Conservative Shadow Climate Change Minister, said:

“While further compensation is welcome, residents and businesses in the Rhondda have endured a week of disruption, and it’s vital that Dŵr Cymru completes these works swiftly to restore normality.

“Residents have been understandably frustrated by the lack of clear communication from Dŵr Cymru, with today’s updated completion date announced only after previous assurances it would be finished by today.

“It’s crucial that this issue is not extended further, and Dŵr Cymru must take responsibility to ensure the people of the Rhondda are no longer left waiting.”
