Speaking on Remembrance Day and ahead of a Welsh Conservative Senedd debate to mark the contribution of the armed forces to Wales, Welsh Conservative Leader Darren Millar MS has called for greater support for Welsh veterans.
Commenting, the Clwyd West MS said:
“On Remembrance Day, we mark the end of the First World War, with silent reflection, remembering all those who gave their lives in service to our country in that conflict and others since.
“Here in Wales, we must do more to support those who have served in the military and the wider armed forces community. That is why we are calling for action to end veteran homelessness, increase funding for Veterans NHS Wales, and to promote engagement with the Armed Forces Friendly Schools programme.
“Our ambition is to make Wales the most Veteran Friendly Nation in the UK, we hope that others will back our call and help to make this a reality.”
