Paul Davies

Commenting on headlines that Plaid Cymru would back the revoking of Article 50 and thus dismiss the Welsh vote to leave the EU, Leader of the Welsh Conservatives, Paul Davies AM, said:

“It’s no surprise to see Plaid Cymru propping up the Liberal Democrats’ stance on Brexit, after we saw them tactically team up recently in the Brecon and Radnorshire Parliamentary by-election.

“Plaid Cymru claim they are ‘the Party of Wales,’ and yet they will happily dismiss the democratic decision of the country.

“The public chose in good faith for Wales and the UK to leave the EU, and only the Welsh Conservatives remain committed and ready to deliver the result of the public vote.”
