Responding to the anniversary of Labour’s rollout of 20mph across Wales, Natasha Asghar MS, Welsh Conservative Shadow Transport Minister, said:

“One year on from Labour’s disastrous 20mph rollout and the Welsh Government still refuse to listen to the Welsh public.

“After the largest petition in the Senedd’s history, a £33 million rollout and an anticipated £9 billion hit to the Welsh economy, Labour know this policy is unpopular but refuse to do anything substantial about it.

"The only common-sense approach would be to follow what the Welsh Conservatives have said since day one - scrap the £33m scheme altogether, only have 20mph in high footfall areas and get Wales moving again."
