Commenting on the news that Gwynedd council has said that council tax rises must not affect the tourism industry, Welsh Conservative Shadow Minister for Housing, Janet Finch-Saunders MS said:
“While Plaid Cymru politicians in Cardiff Bay pursue their dogmatic attacks on the tourism industry in Wales, their local councillors have to pick up the pieces.
“These council tax hikes will have a very real effect on tourism businesses and hard-working families and now the industry needs to deal with the looming shadow of a tourism tax. Why can’t Labour’s lapdogs in Cardiff Bay see the damage they are doing to small businesses?
“Labour and their nationalist puppets need to abandon these reckless policies and look to nurture an economic environment where businesses can flourish.”
