Tom Giffard

Responding to the news that children's reading standards in Wales are being left "completely to chance" amid concerns about levels of attainment, Tom Giffard MS, Shadow Education Minister, said:

“The evidence against Labour’s disastrous curriculum reform continues to stack up.

“With teachers in Wales highlighting disastrous literacy test results and the widening gap between the rest of the UK, it is clear that Labour’s new curriculum is a disaster for pupils across Wales.

“The Welsh Conservatives would scrap Labour’s curriculum reform before our pupils fall even further behind the pack.”
