Tom Giffard

Reflecting on his questions to Labour’s Culture Minister, Tom Giffard MS, Welsh Conservative Shadow Culture Minister, said:

“Last year, every line in the culture budget was cut by this Labour Government which has placed immense pressures on local and national services.

“The sector has continually faced uncertainty since then and, this year alone, we have seen five Cabinet Secretaries for Culture which has only added to the chaos.”

“There are serious concerns across the arts and culture sectors, who are worried about their financial positions and are unsure where they will be in the coming months and years, this Labour Government must do more to protect these institutions, their assets and Welsh culture.”
