Labour-run TFW should walk before they run

Responding to plans that have come to light regarding a new tram that could eventually stretch across Cardiff, Natasha Asghar MS, Welsh Conservative Shadow Transport Minister, said:

“This ambitious project would not have been achievable without investment from the previous UK Conservative Government.

“Labour-run Transport for Wales has lost nearly £300m last year, passenger numbers are declining, their North Wales plans lack ambition and the South Wales Metro project has yet to be completed. 

“Whilst improvements to the public transportation network are always welcome Labour should learn to walk before they run. Improving current services should be their priority.”
