The latest statistics on homelessness in Wales reveals that the number of people housed in temporary accommodation has increased while rough sleeping also remains high.
Commenting, Welsh Conservative Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Housing and Local Government, Laura Anne Jones MS, said:
“The Welsh Labour Government’s own figures show they are unable to tackle homelessness. Despite homelessness statistics remaining persistently high, successive Labour Ministers have repeatedly dismissed warnings and ignored critical advice on addressing this growing crisis.
“The number of individuals sleeping rough remains alarmingly high, and the increasing reliance on temporary accommodation underscores that current plans are failing to deliver lasting solutions.
“The Welsh Labour Government must adopt more effective and sustainable approaches to address homelessness and rough sleeping that ensure long-term stability and support for affected individuals and families.”
