Welsh Conservatives are encouraging people to get involved with Great Big Green Week, which starts tomorrow (Sept 18).
The week-long event aims to celebrate how communities are taking action to tackle climate change and protect nature and to encourage others to get involved.
Great Big Green Week events are taking place across Wales, from Cardiff to Llandudno and Aberystwyth to Abergavenny from the 18th September until the 26th September. People can find their local event online at https://greatbiggreenweek.com/find-an-event/
Welsh Conservative Shadow Minister for Climate Change, Janet Finch-Saunders MS, said:
“Climate change should be at the top of the agenda for politicians of all stripes across the globe, and now is the time to see meaningful action to help tackle the issues.
“But sadly, despite declaring a climate emergency two years ago, the Labour-led Welsh Government has been dithering and done very little to tackle the crisis.
“Wales cannot ignore the serious threat of climate change, and ministers might learn a thing or two on what action they can take by attending events like Green Big Week and the hugely important upcoming COP26 conference.”
