“Further to Peter’s election as Chair of the Senedd’s Health and Social Care Committee, I am delighted to announce some minor changes to my Shadow Cabinet team.

"Sam Rowlands MS will continue to hold the finance brief while taking on responsibility for the transport and infrastructure portfolios where he will continue to lead our campaign for default 20mph speed limits to be scrapped and for investment in Wales’ crumbling infrastructure.

“While Samuel Kurtz MS, with his farming background, will take on the rural affairs brief in addition to his existing duties, bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge to bear as we stand up for our farmers and rural communities access Wales.

“It’s clear, under 26 years of Labour Governments, propped up by Plaid Cymru, Wales is broken. My exciting team offers a government-in-waiting with the talent and solutions Wales needs.”

“I am delighted to take on the additional role of Transport and Infrastructure in the Welsh Conservative Shadow Cabinet Team.

“Labour’s anti-motorist agenda of default 20mph speed limits and a road-building ban continues to slow Wales down.

“Only a Welsh Conservative Government will stand up for our motorists and Fix Wales, after 26 years of Labour failure.”

Welsh Conservative Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Energy and Rural Affairs, Samuel Kurtz MS, said:

“I am proud to be taking on the additional role of Rural Affairs, standing up for our farmers, whom Labour continue to neglect.
