Commenting, Andrew RT Davies – the Shadow Minister for Environment – said:
“It has been necessary for the tips to be closed, and unfortunately, we have all seen the effect this has had on a minority of selfish individuals who have taken to fly-tipping.
“However, for weeks, I have been calling for Wales to follow the lead of other parts of the UK to re-open tips in a careful and safe - for both staff and people looking to get rid of garden and household waste – way.
“So, I am pleased that this decision has been taken, and I look forward to the remaining local authorities following suit to hopefully see an end to the levels of fly-tipping we have seen.”
