The Welsh Government is being urged to adopt the new scheme available in England for the most vulnerable in our communities to receive assistance with essentials, such as deliveries of food.
Angela Burns AM, the Shadow Health Minister, has called on the Welsh Government to follow suit.
She said:
“The scheme is for people with medical conditions that makes them extremely vulnerable to Coronavirus. Once registered, people can get help for a range of basic tasks, such as help having deliveries of essential supplies, including food.
“At this critical time, we must do all we call to support the most vulnerable in our communities, and so I urge the Welsh Government to follow this approach and introduce it in Wales, because such measures will give reassurance – and save lives.”
