Ferry and ports operator Stena Line UK has bought a large site in Anglesey as part of plans to boost operations at the Port of Holyhead.
Commenting on the news, Welsh Conservative Leader, Andrew RT Davies MS said:
“This decision by Stena Line UK is a huge endorsement of Wales as a trading nation and proof that the Brexit doomsayers were wrong to predict falls in investment in the Welsh economy.
“The Labour Government in Cardiff Bay, far removed from the North Wales economy as it is, is still focussed on constitutional issues and inventing new methods of taxing Wales out of competitiveness.
“Labour should be focussed on fostering a pro-business, pro-growth environment to create jobs for the Welsh people and for our vital public services to benefit from the tax receipts generated.
Stena said the 213-acre Anglesey site would allow it to extend and develop the port which it has owned for 27 years.
