Commenting on his exchange today at First Minister’s questions, Leader of the Welsh Conservatives, Andrew RT Davies MS said:
“Labour continues to be distracted by unimportant issues to the detriment of the people of Wales. So much so that Labour have actually cut the education budget in real terms this year.
“18,000 fewer young people have been identified as requiring Additional Learning Needs in the last 12 months - which begs the question is this a true reflection of the situation or are children falling through the cracks and not getting the support they need?
“We support the development plans to help ALN learners, but I asked the First Minister for assurances that schools have the resources and budgets to fully roll out the help needed and that no young people are left behind or in limbo.”
