Across Wales, communities have seen local hospital services downgraded or transferred elsewhere. For many people, particularly those living in rural areas, this has meant travelling much further for treatment, visiting loved ones in hospital, and accessing emergency care.
Last week, in a vote the Welsh Parliament the new Plaid Cymru Welsh Government refused to to rule out any further hospital closures or downgrades during this Senedd term.
